Velo-fringe is just like the famous Adelaide Fringe, but it's just about bikes. Running from 16-31 May 2014, in conjunction with the цветы Ставрополь conference, it will be a celebration of what's great about cycling in Adelaide.

The images will be displayed at various locations around Adelaide – keep an eye out in the city during May, embark on a cycling tour using the exhibition map and contribute your own images using #ridingpast. Walking tours of the exhibition will also be offered during Velo-fringe and a talk on cycling and the archives will be held at the South Australian Archives Centre, Leigh Street on 22 May.

‘Flinders Ranges by bike‘ is a 200km adventure, starting at Wilpena Pound, and taking in some of the most stunning areas of this amazing location. The loop takes you through private properties as well as national park and covers sections not normally open to the public. It takes 4 days to ride, with an average of 50km a day. Some sections are technically challenging so novice riders will need to test themselves. You’ll need plenty of stamina but a reasonably fit rider should have no problems.

The winner of the Velo-fringe logo competition is Michael List.
Michael’s design uses a hand-drawn bike to suit the fringe nature of the event. The centre part of the bicycle has been shaped to represent South Australia.
Several versions of the logo will be made available to registered Velo-fringe events, for placement on posters, flyers or other advertising material. The logos are copyright and may not be altered in any way from their original design.
