Spend a day experiencing contrasts from the German heritage village of Hahndorf in the picturesque Adelaide Hills to the stunning coastal scenery of Victor Harbor and Goolwa on Adelaide’s south coast. There is a chance that you can see whales out at sea, from May each year whales come close to shore and can be viewed easily from the beach.

There are many free tours around the city that you can join, especially through the cultural institutions along North Terrace. Enquire with your hotel concierge as to the departure times of tours at the Art Gallery of SA, SA Museum, State Library of SA and the Adelaide Botanic Gardens.

 

Friday

Murray River Day Cruise – 1 day tour

Cruise the River Murray enjoying the magnificent landscapes of this picturesque region. Relax while taking a cruise on the historic River Murray and gain an insight into this unique river system. After lunch, take in the spectacular views and stop for a great photo opportunity at the lookout overlooking the township of Mannum. On the return journey to Adelaide, visit the famous Big Rocking Horse at Gumeracha.

 

Barossa Valley Day Tour – 1 day tour

The Barossa is just over an hours drive north of the City and is home to world renown wineries such as Jacob’s Creek, Wolf Blass, Penfolds, Yalumba and Peter Lehmann. It’s not all about wine in the Barossa, there is fresh produce, artisan meats and cheeses and Maggie Beers Farm Shop.
