The Program Committee’s role and responsibilities are to provide feedback on the preliminary program, including balance, quality and relevance of content to the following topics and questions:

  • A balanced program

- Does the program have an appropriate and interesting balance of subject matter?

- Is there adequate gender balance? (please note that the gender balance represented in the draft program has a slightly higher representation of woman than gender balance in total abstracts received)

- Is there adequate representation from continents/countries all over the world?

  • A robust program

- Does the scheduling of topics within concurrent sessions offer the diversity of likely delegates a good choice?

- Are the session working titles appealing to delegates?

- Will the concurrent sessions offer delegates a good challenge in selecting their preferred topics?

- Are there any ‘gaps’ in topics across the concurrent sessions and in the conference program that you believe are critically important to have included?

The 12 members of this Committee are nominated by the European Cyclists’ Federation and the Organising Committee and collectively provide international representation of a range of disciplines and organisations.

More than just a conference....

Velo-city is the world’s premier international cycling planning conference. The four day event offers delegates from around the world a chance to share best practices for creating and sustaining cycling-friendly cities, where bicycles are valued as part of daily transport and recreation.
