Shopping Adelaide is the ultimate in stress-free shopping. Rundle Mall has more than 700 boutiques and specialty shops set amongst elegant arcades, streets and laneways, or drop into Australia’s famous department stores, Myers and David Jones.
For something a little edgy and unique explore Rundle Street and Ebenezer Place. A must is Urban Cow Studio showcasing South Australian artists and designers. For outlet shopping, head to Harbour Town – 15 minutes west of the city near the airport. |

Beaches Most of Adelaide’s fantastic beaches are less than 30 minutes from the city centre and the Mediterranean climate means you can enjoy them practically all year round.
Catch the tram or cycle to Glenelg, one of Adelaide’s favourite beaches, and enjoy a picnic on the grass or a stroll on the jetty. The art deco suburb of Brighton Beach is right next door and nearby Henley Beach is a great place to soak up the atmosphere while eating your fish and chips. |
